Chef cecilia chairez

My name is Cecilia, I’m from a small town in Zacatecas, Mexico known as Valparaiso in central Mexico. I come from a big family of 5 brothers and one sister where our parents taught us the values of hard with daily chores on their farm. With their life lessons I grew the passion to open my own restaurant when I came to the United States.

I decided to start my business in June of 2017 in my sister’s garage selling tacos on the weekend. From the start I knew it wouldn’t be easy but that never held me back from introducing, not only my food, but also my traditions and culture from back home to all the diverse communities in the Bay Area. With the help and support from family, friends, and my community I was able to open my own restaurant. Where am privileged enough to be able to buy authentic ingredients from my hometown in Mexico to give my customers the most authentic Mexican food, like handmade tortillas made from scratch and spices and seasonings that’ll make you think you’re in Mexico yourself.
